A childhood of climbing trees and making ‘contraptions’ progressed into a career in IT, process design, and design thinking where creative passion was focused on transforming business challenge into clarity, and improvement.
Diagnosed with advanced colon cancer, and faced with the ultimate conundrum it was this curiosity, focus, and grit that enabled me to navigate through a world of scans, surgeries, and chemo chairs.
Crafting Gift Tags throughout this time has brought me joy and purpose.
Writing reflections - that turned into a BOOK! - have allowed me to make sense of it all for myself, for my kids, and hopefully for others facing the whirlwind of serious illness.
What began as survival became a journey of insight, humour, and surprising joy.
